When shopping for Bed linen and Mattress Protectors , ensure they are compatible with the height of your mattress. Our TENCEL™ Bed Linen and Great Barrier Mattress Protector are also available in 'Deep Fit' sizes, ideal for accommodating the taller Koala Luxe Mattress and ensuring a snug, secure fit.

Every Koala Mattress uses Kloudcell® technology in the comfort layer, but the Koala Mattress and Koala Plus Mattress models also feature Flippable Firmness, so you can choose between medium-firm and firm Kloudcell® at home. Couples with different firmness preferences can add a Partner Preference comfort layer to their Koala Mattress, featuring half medium-firm and half firm Kloudcell®. For the plushest comfort, the Koala Luxe Mattress features 3cm of Kloudcell® quilting, and has 50% more Kloudcell® than the SE Mattress.

Sleeping next to a tosser? Our famous Zero Disturbance® technology has been designed to absorb movement, ensuring you remain undisturbed when your partner tosses and turns during the night. You'll find Zero Disturbance® technology in all of our mattresses.

Koala Mattresses are compressed, rolled, and vacuum-sealed into a compact box for quick and easy delivery directly to your doorstep. Once opened, it can take 3-5 days for the mattress to come back to its correct shape and feel, but you can sleep on it right away. It will just get better and better over the first week or so!

In selected areas of Sydney and Melbourne we've partnered with Soft Landing, a mattress recycling social enterprise, to remove and recycle your old mattress for a reasonable fee!

Koala Mattresses feature foams certified by CertiPUR-US®, meaning they are made without ozone depleters and heavy metals, whilst promoting indoor air quality through low Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). We also integrate materials like carbon-zero TENCEL™, derived from sustainable wood sources, and recycled fibers, with the aim to reduce our footprint and promote the use of sustainable resources.

In addition to choosing thoughtful materials, we actively support environmental conservation by partnering with WWF and participating in the 1% for the Planet initiative. This means a portion of every mattress sale is invested in projects that aim to protect our planet's natural habitats and biodiversity.

Our approach to sustainability is about taking concrete steps to minimise our environmental impact, while supporting global efforts to preserve the planet for future generations.

Koala Mattresses only use foam that has been CertiPUR-US® certified, meaning it has been tested to meet CertiPUR-US®' rigorous standards for emissions, content, performance, and durability. The foam in our mattresses is made without heavy metals such lead or mercury, there are no harmful phthalates present, and they are made without the use of ozone-depleting substances including methylene chloride and other CFCs. Koala Mattress foam has also been tested to have low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million).

As long as your bed base has adequate support and ventilation, it'll work with any Koala Mattress. If it's a slat base, the slats should be no more than 7.5cm apart. While posture slats can be used, they can make the mattress feel considerably softer than it actually is, so for the best comfort we recommend that they are straight (flat) slats.

We don't recommend either using the mattress straight on the floor without ventilation underneath as this can lead to moisture build up, or on an adjustable bed as bending or folding the mattress might cause long-term damage to the core or supportive layers.
